Michele began
enjoying reggae music in 2001, at the age of thirteen, he went to
the most important concerts of jamaican and italian artists. From
2004 he started going to the dancehalls, getting closer to the
soundsystem culture. In the meanwhile he played at the keyboards in
an original ska band (the Cocobean Ska Orchestra), and he met
Simo and Tia, who gave birth to the Bass'n'Stilla
soundsystem in 2005. At the beginning of 2006 he started writing
lyrics on the riddims, and from September 2006 he started performing
in the dancehalls. It was in that period that his name as artist
became that of Junior Sprea. In March 2007 he became member
of the Bass'n'Stilla sound, and soon took part in the reggae
mc contest of Milan where he was the second classified. From this
moment he officially became part of the reggae family of Milan and
around, and started collaborations with many local soundsystems. His
main collaboration along this path is with Catchy (outta X-treme
Entertainment), but he also works with other producers. He
recorded many tunes for different projects such as "Mi da stimolo"
on Chatty riddim by Catchy included in the WAR SIGNALS
Vol.1 mixed cd produced by Segnale Digitale and
Warsound and "Precario" on New Generation riddim
produced by X-treme Entertainment. His work with the
Bass'n'Stilla sound is also getting better: the performances are
increasing as their will to play even more. In the last days this
youth is working on a self-produced album. The rest is yet to
write... |
