Nico Royale, born in 1983, is a reggae singer coming from Sasso Marconi, a little town in the mountains near Bologna. As he sings in his first 7" single(Singa) he has been involved into music since his childhood. Thanks the teaching of his father he began playing guitar when he was 10 and at the age of 14 he played drums in a local punk band called Twine Baskets.

In the same years he got into the world of reggae music thanks to some radio programmes (Good Vibes on radio K Centrale and Soul Shakedown Party on Radio Cittą) and, together with his sound called Casalypso, he began singing in the dancehalls of country festivals and squares and then in the most important clubs of Italy.

In 2004 he took part in a event called RISE, organized by Godzilla sound with the partecipation of the best italian djs and singers.

From 2005 he lived for one year between Mexico, Cuba, Panama and Jamaica and he continued his musical projects collaborating with artists and producers from these countries.

From 2007, after his coming back home, he is working on his first official album which is coming out soon thanks to the efforts of the new independent reggae label Forward the Bass (www.forwardthebass.com). SegnaleDigitale & Warsound produced his single on 7 inches "Singa", available in the best record shops; in this tune he speaks about love for music and the way this art influences life .
