Jahkirevi was born as Alessandro Mondini in Levanto (in the region of La Spezia), where he lived until the age of 20. He had his first singing experiences at the primary school, where the teachers let himself sing alone in front of the audience. During the years of secondary school he got closer to new musical expressions such as RAP and REGGAE, and began singing about his problems and those of the people around him. In a few time he got to leave the school to start working, he had many problems with people in his city (above all with people dressing uniforms), and he lost many friends because of many different drugs...at the age of 20, after some shows with his previous crew RebokkoVibes, he moved up to Barcelona, where he worked hard for more than a year, and thanks even to Rebel Congo them give life to the Youth Revolution Sound, an occasion to completely devote themselves to music, having many shows all around Spain and Italy, where they started the collaboration with Segnale Digitale. He called attention to himself in many apparitions as singer at Rototom Sunsplash 2007, and also in the fervid reggae movement of Barcelona as regular guest of the reggae nights at "Bassline" together with the Massive Sound crew, the same that founded BCN Reggae Magazine.
